One of Germany's most famous nature attractions is Berchtesgaden. It is located in the German Bavarian Alps near the southern border of Austria in the state of Bavaria. The Berchtesgaden National Park stretches along three parallel balleys. Located in Berchtesgaden is Mount Watzmann which is the third highest mountain in Germany at 2713 meters (8901 feet). A popular thing to do at Berchtesgaden is rock climbing along the East Face. It also has a deep glacial lake named Konigssee. Another great place at Berchtesgaden is Kehlsteinhaus which means Eagle's Nest. I has a spectacular views to visitor who go up there. The Eagle's nest used to have one of Hitler's homes until it was demolished shortly after WWll.

The Romantic Road is one of several ‘themed’ roads in Germany and is one of Germany’s most famous vacation routes. It is a stunning 220-mile journey from the River Main to the Alps offering the traveler one of the most beautiful and engaging combinations of scenery, cuisine and ambience that Germany can offer. One surprising highlight of the walk is to be found at the Noerdlingen’s Ries Crater, where America's astronauts trained for their moonwalk!
Historical Site
Berlin is one of the most well known things in Germany. It was constructed by the German Democratic Repulic in August 13, 1961. It was meant to prevent emigration in Germany. The barrier included guard towers placed on the concrete walls. The wall also contained other defences such as "fakir beds" which were anit-vehicle trenches. West Berliners initially could not visit East Berlin or East Germany at all. In 1971 agreements were made that allowed West Berliners to apply for visas to enter East Berlin and East Germany regularly. East Berliners could not go into West Berlin or West Germany at all. This only changed when the wall fell in November of 1989. The wall was broken down by people with sledgehammers, hammers and chisels. These people were nicknamed "Mauerspechte" (wall woodpeckers). Eventually the rest was brokens down by bulldozers. 15 years after the fall a memorial was rebuild but was shortly demolished in July of 2005.
